International floo call from Tariq Sallah to Bill Weasley (in Peru)
*static as the floo call connects*

Hallo? Is Bill Weasley there?

*a fussy infant sound*

Oh! Sorry, everyone's at lunch. Just let me put this one down, and I'll go get him. What name do I give him?

Ah, hallo little one, do not mind this loud person interrupting your lunch.

That is very kind of you. Let him know that 'Sallah' is calling, if you please.

*a laugh and an infant's giggle* She was done, just being fussy. Back in a moment.

*departing footsteps*

Sallah! !السلام عليكم

Why are you calling? It's dreadfully inconvenient this Peru thing, yeah?

و عليكم السلام

I have good news, of course! And why are you here and not with your bride to be, my friend? I expected you to be attached at the hip!

*a groan* Don't remind me, her Aunt showed up whilst we were having breakfast and kicked me out. Said it wasn't "proper" for me to stay there before the wedding. Like it makes any difference! At least she couldn't kick me out until after lunch, but a dance lesson doesn't make up for getting to spend a full day alone together, yeah?

But good news? What's this about good news? You are bringing the whole family to the wedding, yeah? And Umm Sallah's coming, too?

Dance lesson? *a chortle*

Of course my mother is coming with us. We couldn't bring all the children without her as Hind was careful to make clear. You are sure the house has room? Seeing as you will be staying there now and all that.

And I have excellent news and you should be ever grateful to your best of best men.

Excellent news? And where's the sympathy, oh best of best men? And yeah, a dance lesson. Luna wants a bit of polish before we have to dance in front of everyone. Not that she's not graceful enough as it is, but I'm not about to argue over having my arm around her for half an hour.

Of course there's room. Luna arranged everything, I'd just rather sleep on a sofa at the guest house than stay at the flat in London. It's just me, yeah? I couldn't put you out if I tried, there's too many of you!

The best, with regards to your honeymoon. And my sympathy awaits more dire need than a scant week's separation. You do remember what I went through in the months before my wedding, don't you? Considering your role in all of that?

And the too many of us is the concern!

... Yeah, all right. No sympathy. Wanker. And it'll be fine. There's a room for the girls and Umm Sallah and one for the boys, and another for you and Hind, yeah? It's fine.

Merlin, the honeymoon. Only benefit of getting kicked out is no more searching questions about the honeymoon. Not that I like the trade off! I just hope Luna's not too disappointed in the tent. And with the charms, we can put it right on the beach.

Good then, it's very thoughtful of you both to put everyone up.

And did I not say I had the best of news? There is a house ready for you for the duration of your holiday. It's a lovely private house in King Mariout with a fenced in property, a heated pool and a full kitchen. I have seen it myself and it is rather large, but you will have the Elf, yes?

It was Luna's idea. A good one, too. I'd have let everyone find their own lodgings like always. What's wrong with sleeping on floors and all that, yeah?

... A private house in King Mariout? A large private house? For next week? Where did you find it and how much does this place cost?

Floors have their own appeal. Wives do not see it.

Ahhhh, that is what you would say is the most brilliant part of this. It costs nothing at all.

*a loud laugh*

Pick up your jaw, I'm not joking. It is a Gringott's property. Acquired in the last three months with a block of other properties, none of the higher ups know what to do with it. The Goblins have no use for it, but neither do they wish to let it, and yet you know how they are about letting go of anything. They're unwilling to sell until they thoroughly examine the situation.

A house, for nothing, in King Mariout?

What's the catch? You can't tell me everyone who's anyone hasn't been cadging for time in that house since it was acquired, and I wasn't anyone even when I still worked for Gringott's.

A house, for nothing, in King Mariout.

Why would there be a catch? You're a friend to the Goblins, they appreciate your efforts in the late war, and if they should have the hope that you would entertain the thought of returning to their employ some time in the future, well, that is all very reasonable is it not? Since there is no expectation, after all. Merely a hope.

And so I told Grimplesham! You're getting married after all, stability is key. Of course, Goblins have long memories and recall your work hunt from the autumn....

Oh, stop looking like that. I've not misled them and they're not anticipating your imminent return. They merely find it a good business choice. That, and it neatly avoids the appearance of favouritism between a few of the higher ups.

Here, *a rustle as a card is passed through the floo* the Apparation coordinates. The house is empty and furnished and clean, and by clean I mean clean. You can visit it any time and see for yourself.

I really have. And on Thursday, we shall descend upon you all and I get to meet these brothers of yours who have all sorts of ideas in their heads regarding what is a proper seeing off into marriage. And then on Saturday, well you will be married, my friend.

Yeah. Merlin, Sallah, thank you.

And what are you planning with my madcap brothers? Do I have to fear for life and limb or just dignity?

We are oldest friends, yes? And so the great effort and near miraculous appearance of a rabbit from a top hat is just another thing one friend would do for another. You know this as well as I. After all, you have done the same for me.

Ah, dignity! It is always dignity which suffers. I am looking forward to it!

Of course! And tell your Elf to be that there is a lively House Elf community in King Mariout. Much to-ing and fro-ing between the houses, it's expected!
